Heart Of Gold

I want to live
I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And Im getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And Im getting old.

I've been to hollywood
I've been to redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching for a heart of gold
You keep me searching for a heart of gold
And Im getting old.
Ive been a miner for a heart of gold.

I would simply shrug off the slightest moment’s hesitation if I ever had to rush back into a burning barn to rescue my original LP of Harvest. Had a look at it the other day; the grooves still run deep-hasn’t even a hint of a single scratch on it. Adore the dead honest simplicity it wears on its sleeve. As it came out way before I ever did, I wasn’t given a choice but to nationalise my copy off a relatively close relative (with consent)…can’t say I have the heart to return it anytime soon.

Well would you just look at that, Taylor/Ronstadt did backup vocal on that track with the S Gators called into to do the session work. Hardly your barn recording affair!
